The US Virgin Islands comprises three islands: St Thomas, St John and St Croix. This is the Caribbean of the postcards, crystal blue waters, white sands and a laid-back lifestyle, which combine to keep travellers booking flights to the US Virgin Islands every year.
The most developed and most-visited of the islands is St Thomas. Most resorts are on this island, along with some of the finest beaches. In contrast, St John is the smallest of the US Virgin Islands. This is a protected landmass and more than 60 per cent of the land is controlled by the US National Park Service. Holidaymakers looking to escape the resorts of St Thomas and enjoy nature flock here. St Croix is the largest islands. Though not as serene as St John, the pace of life is still more relaxed than that of bustling St Thomas.
