If you plan to go to Myanmar in the fall, the New Moon Festival takes place each year in November. With traditional offerings and processions, experience the joyful mood of the Burmese people. Why not see the adorable Marionette Show where people use hand-made puppets to entertain the crowd as well? If you are in Mandalay, you must visit the Royal Palace, which is considered to be the “Forbidden City,” where you can wander through the beautiful majestic fortress.
If Canadians have their passport with them, they also need a visa when taking flights to Myanmar. The visa for Myanmar can be used at Mandalay, Yangon, and Nap Pyi Taw airports only. Visas for Myanmar are only temporary since they expire within 90 days after they are issued. There is also a tourist visa that restricts people to sightseeing or visiting relatives and family members.
