When it comes to flying from Canada to Sale, Morocco, travellers will have a number of options from all of the major cities. Travel times can vary, depending on stops and origin. For example, going from Calgary to Sale International Airport with a couple of stops along the way can range from 20h 38m to 23h 10m. Air France, on the other hand, leaving from Montreal, will arrive at Sale in 5h 20m, while only requiring one stopover. Anyone who wants to opt to take their time during travels can certainly book a chain of flights as well to extend travel, which is popular for those who want some time to explore other locations.
Unfortunately, at this time, the only airline that offers direct flights to Sale is Morocco’s flag airline carrier, Royal Air Maroc, and it only flies direct from the United States. As such, flyers from Canada will need to make at least one stop in another city, regardless if one is coming from Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, or another city. However, these flights are still relatively quite fast, and there are many carriers to choose from such as Air France, Air Canada, West Jet, and others.
The Sale International Airport (RBA) is one mile from the heart of the city. As such, anyone can get to and from a myriad of destinations quickly and easily. Both public transportation and taxis are available to be used. There are also a number of options when it comes to car rental at the airport with several different companies providing service. All of these services can also be set up prior to landing so travelers will be ready to go once they’ve picked up their baggage.
Sale is a wonderful place in northwest Morocco that is right on the bank of the Bou Regreg River. Because of this, there are plenty of things to see and do that are an interest to a wide variety of travelers. The ancient, unfinished Hassan Tower is a popular spot, as is the Kasba of the Udayas. Other visitors to the city enjoy seeing the scenic gardens and Roman ruins of Chellah. There are, of course, plenty of contemporary stores, restaurants, and entertainment venues to take advantage of, too.
For the most part, Canadian citizens do not need a visa to visit Sale, only a valid passport, if one only plans on staying for less than 90 days. In those cases, a valid visa is required. Fortunately, both visas and passports are easily obtained after a small amount of paperwork and a few days to a few weeks wait for processing.
Rabat Sale (RBA), located 8.1 km from the city centre, is the airport you fly into when you book flights to Rabat.
