The agent working the Alamo counter was very sweet. Her name was Rose. She was awesome. She made the car rental process so easy. Ty so much Rose! We had a great time in Hilo.

The car costed about 2x more than we originally intended because of the price of a child booster seat + fees + additional coverage that I wasn't sure I needed. It was appalling how much we spent for the car - would could have literally purchased a used car for the same price for a 9 day trip.

Everyone was friendly and efficient.

I picked up my car at the airport in Hilo, where I live, for a weekend around the island with family. I think the car could have been a little cleaner, but it wasn't a deal breaker and the process was quick and easy. The associate at the desk was friendly and funny, Mr. Panama I will call him. If every time I rent from Hertz I get to see his face, I will gladly return.

Dean at the counter was excellent! He was friendly, professional, and super helpful! He resay set the tone for our short trip in Hilo!

I arrived and was told I had two prepaid reservations, one for Dollar, and a duplicate reservation for Thrifty. the rental agent also pressured me to purchase additional CDW and liability insurance directly through them even though I purchased it when I made the online reservation. The agent made it VERY difficult to decline the additional insurance. The line was extremely long to pick up the car and took over one hour standing in line. The car was also damaged when I checked it out. The trunk opening was unreasonably small and made the vehicle trunk unusable for putting a suitcase inside. Terrible experience with Dollar, not recommended.

Up graded but no charge, nice but took a few extra minutes to get vehicle delivered to us. Would have been faster to have us go get it.

Had an issue with the car several days into our vacation. Drove to the rental place and they had us in a new vehicle within 10 minutes. No hassle. No stress.

Very convenient location, but with only one person working the line can get long. Car was good and so was the price.

Very friendly staff Rose!

No shuttle from the airport to the enterprise location. Advertised as off airport location however did not state that a shuttle or ride was available. If I was disabled or unable to walk 2.5 miles in unknown location and conditions, I would of not purchased/reserved the vehicle. In this instance, I had a disabled traveler with me who was in a wheel chair. There is no side walks on the main highway as I found out while paying more for an Uber ride to an enterprise location. My disabled traveler remained at the airport due to a compact Uber car that was unable to store a wheelchair. First for me in my entire life where any rental car company says “its the only way to get to our location, its normal”. At least advertise the stipulation on your site. Its decieving and unethical.

My car was supposed to have a full tank, but it only had 7/8 (about 2 gallons short).

The convenience, location and efficiency of Thrifty at Hilo was good.

The car was clean, ran well and it had a full tank of gas.

Easy peazy

Had to return two separate cars due to mechanical issues. Cars were old with approx 50,000 miles in each. Tatty interiors with rips in chairs and peeling dashboard. Went with Avis in the end. Car much cleaner and cheaper too!

The price, it was very expensive the insurance protection.
