Find SUV rentals in San Jose

The first car I received was infested with Ants. I didn't realize that until I was way down the road. I called and the allowed me to return it. No problem which was great. It did mess up up my schedule while I was there as I didn't account for returning a vehicle. The customer service was great.

Price was better than competitors, easy and fast pickup, clean and very nice, new car, easy drop off.

Just needed a little more explanation on charges since I bought insurance through kayak and it seems like they charge me again. Also, it would be nice if the counter people are aware of the type of car that is in inventory. That is, know the features. I upgraded since I was told there is apple car play in the car so I can use the GPS. Apparently, there isn't.

The wait was an hour and a half.

This was worst rental car experience I've ever had. I would never use Dollar again and I will not rent a car through Kayak again. First, they said they didn't have a car. Then, they tried to double charge me when I had already paid upfront. They wouldn't let me pay the deposit using debit card, and even after I told them I paid for the car in advance, they charged me an additional $38 for some type of fee, so I paid nearly $100 to rent a compact vehicle for 1 day! They also made me wait over an hour for a vehicle and I was not the only one! Look online: All the reviews are horrible! They tried to say people stole the cars! Obvious lie! There is security to get in and out of there. No way. Absolute nightmare! Don't use this company, and don't use kayak. I paid for the car upfront for a reason. I should've only had to pay a deposit in addition.

We received are scheduled pick up and hour late and they didn’t even have the vehicle we rental that was more fuel economical

Lots of added/hidden fees after reaching the counter even after declining options. That should be presented at the time of checkout. Then for self reported damage, no pen is provided. Most travelers aren't carrying pens. I had to ask the man at the exit booth got a pen to sign off any damage

Will never book through Priceline/Kayak. Horrible experience

Our experience with Fox was wonderful. However, as it was our first time renting a car and our first time in California, we bought way more “packages” than needed. Next time, we will know before hand what is needed and what is not.

I recommend everyone to avoid this place. They did not let us check out the car and didn’t let me speak with the manager. They also refused to ask the manager call me back and said that they were sold out! Avoid!

There staff at the Avis center at Stevens Creek in San Jose was friendly and helpful.

I was misled as to the pickup & dropoff location. Therefore I had to pay more. Bill of approx $200 easily escalated to $450

The person who checked us out told us one time verbally for drop off and it ended up being a time when they were closed. We had to go to a different location up for drop off

Lengthy pick up process. Would be good to have parking nearby for those driving to collect a rental. A lot of hidden costs
