The wettest place on earth is, officially, the Waialeale Crater in the centre of the island, but just a few kilometres away are dry, sunny areas. There are temperate foothills and high mountain rainforests too. Daytime temperatures, year-round, are in the mid-20s Celsius (80s Fahrenheit) and the trade winds help to keep things cool and balmy.

Getting around Kaua'i
