Flights from Canada to Los Cabos, Mexico can take anywhere from 5h-20h depending on the airline. If you’re departing from Toronto Pearson International Airport, the quickest flight takes only 5h 15m. And if you’re leaving from Vancouver International Airport, the quickest flight is 6h 55m. From Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport, the fastest flight is 7h 57m. Cheaper flights from Toronto can take up to 24h 45m, from Vancouver it can take 26h 40m, and from Montreal, it can take 20h 35m.
Direct flights from Canada to Los Cabos can be found in Toronto and in Calgary. WestJet services direct flights from Calgary International Airport which take only 4h 23m, while Sunwing Airlines provides direct flights from Toronto Pearson International Airport which take 5h 15m. Unfortunately, direct flights are not offered at Vancouver International Airport and Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport. However, you can still find fast one-stop flights in Vancouver provided by WestJet and American Airlines with a layover at Los Angeles International Airport. If you’re leaving from Montreal, American Airlines also offers a one-stop flight to Los Cabos with a stop at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.
When you land in Los Cabos, you can easily take a taxi to reach the city centre. The Los Cabos Airport Taxi service is stationed at the exits of Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. They take cash only and can hold up to four passengers. You can also book a shuttle service provided by Cabo San Lucas Tours. A driver wearing an orange shirt and navy pants will be waiting for you in the ground transportation area with a sign with your name on it. The shuttle can take you to Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo. Car rentals are available at the airport as well.
Located on the southern coast of Mexico’s Baja California peninsula, Los Cabos provides easy access to several of its natural attractions. Take a trip to El Arco de Cabo San Lucas to soak in its magnificent beauty as well as go whale watching or snorkeling. You can also go snorkeling and diving in the clear blue oceans of Palmilla Beach. Parroquia San Jose is a popular historical church located in the center of Los Cabos. San Jose’s Estuary and Bird Sanctuary is an excellent place for hiking, birdwatching, and getting away from the noise. If you’re interested in art, Ivan Guaderrama Art Gallery and Old Town Gallery are great spots to check out many original pieces of work. Other popular attractions to visit include San Jose del Cabo Mercado Organico, Wirikuta Garden, and Cabo Pulmo Marine Preserve.
A valid passport of at least 6 months is required to fly to Los Cabos. Once you arrive, you’ll then be granted a valid tourist visa which lasts 180 days. If staying for longer than 180 days, you must apply for a visa by visiting the nearest Mexico consulate.
