Way to expensive

I had a BMW reserved for our family vacation and when we got there they had given the car away to someone else and we had to settle for a Toyota RAV4 which we found very uncomfortable. Their excuse was that they tried to call to see if we were coming and I didn't answer, I WAS ON A FLIGHT and couldn't answer.

They did not deliver the vehicle I booked. I carefully reviewed all the different vehicle types presented to me as "available" at the time of booking, several days before my trip. Because bad weather was forecast, I selected a compact SUV. When I arrived, I was told my selected vehicle was in fact no longer available, and instead, a low-clearance compact Toyota Corolla would be substituted. The explanation was "it's been a crazy day" and that other customers had shown up and rented almost every vehicle they had. What does a vehicle "reservation" mean to Alamo if they're going to rent my booked vehicle out from under me to someone that turns up at the counter?

Our interaction was seamless, both when picking up and dropping off. The gentlemen who helped us were wonderful and friendly. Charles and Stanley were their names ( I hope I am remembering correctly). While the wait to pick up was a bit long, Charles seemed to be training another employee while helping us, so it was understandable. Overall I am very happy. The price was great too. In a time when it’s difficult to get great service in the service industry, these young men definitely stand out. Thank you so much! Dale McCarthy

They didn't have a car for me! Ruined my trip.

Better to book through third party, when we called them directly first, they advised due to demand they weren’t booking one ways. Achieved one way when booking through third party. Thanks!!! Helped us in a pinch!!!
