All passengers flying with Ryanair must check-in online via the Manage my Booking section and print out their Boarding Pass in advance. Most airports will also accept mobile boarding passes.
Online check is available from 30 days until 2 hours before the scheduled flight departure time if the passenger purchases an assigned seat. If the passenger does not purchase an assigned seat, check in is available from 7 days to two hours prior to departure.
Once a passenger has checked in they can reprint their boarding pass up to two hours before flight time.
Each Boarding Pass must be printed and presented on an individual A4 piece of paper, or as a mobile boarding pass.
North American travelers should be aware that passengers traveling on non-EU/EEA passports must have their travel documents checked and their Boarding Pass stamped at a Ryanair Visa, Document or Check-in Desk before going through airport security. Make sure you leave a little extra time to complete this process.
If you don’t show a valid Boarding Pass at airport security or the boarding gate and there is time to re-issue you with one, you will be charged a Boarding Pass re-issue fee.
Ryanair baggage allowance
Ryanair has a strict one cabin bag per person policy.
Passengers are allowed one item of cabin baggage per passenger weighing up to 10kg with maximum dimensions of 35cm x 20cm x 20cm. Handbags, briefcases, laptops, shop purchases and cameras must be carried inside the one permitted piece of cabin baggage.
For a fee, each passenger may check in up to two bags of either 15kg or 20kg. Travelers can add baggage at the time of booking or after by visiting ‘Manage My Booking’ up to four hours before the flight departure time.
Higher baggage fees apply when checked bags are purchased via the Ryanair call center or airport ticket desk. Fees may vary.

After you check-in online you need to take your checked baggage to a bag drop desk no later than 40 minutes before your flight time.
Musical Instruments and Sporting Equipment:
Sports or music equipment including fishing rods, golf clubs, bikes, surfboards, bodyboards, snowboards, skis and large musical instruments can be carried in the hold of the aircraft up to a limit of 20kg per item upon payment of a discounted online fee of 90 CAD per item, per one way flight.
If the item is purchased at the airport or through a Ryanair call center a higher fee of 108 CAD per item/per one way flight is charged.
Any item weighing over the 20kg allowance will be charged at the excess baggage rate per kilo.
Smaller musical items such as guitars, violins or violas which exceed our cabin baggage dimensions may be carried in the cabin if a seat for it has been reserved and the appropriate fare paid. There is no checked or cabin baggage allowance associated with the purchase of an extra seat.
To book an extra seat for an item the word “ITEM SEAT” must be entered as the surname and “EXTRA” entered as the first name. EXTRA ITEM SEAT will then be displayed on the reservation and online boarding pass. The accompanying passenger’s travel document details must be entered during the online check- in process.

Passengers can reserve their preferred seat for a fee during online check-in.
Passenger change details
Names can be changed online at the rate of 200 CAD. Name changes can be made up to four hours prior to the scheduled flight departure.
Flight dates, times and routes are changeable (subject to seat availability up to 4 hours prior to the scheduled departure time either online (unless you have already checked in online) or via a reservation center.
Flight Change fees are charged per one way flight/per person. The cost of the fees is seasonal and can be found on the Ryanair website
Passengers must pay the difference if the new fare is more expensive than the original. Please note if the new fare is lower, no refund will be made.
Infants – 24 months or under: An infant fee of 36 CAD is charged for all children under two-years-old who are not permitted to occupy a seat. Infants must be under 24 months at the time of both the outbound and return flights. This fee is payable on a per person, per one-way basis. Over two years: Ryanair does not carry unaccompanied children under 16 years of age. Escort services and special facilities are NOT available.
There are no discounts for older travellers.
Ryanair does not carry animals on its flights except for guide dogs on all routes expect for flights to and from Morocco.
No in-flight entertainment is available.
Ryanair offers no air miles program.
