The car was good and pickup was relatively smooth, but drop-off was a nightmare. The agency in Versailles was accessible only by foot, with no parking available within 300m. While circling in the car, I phoned Sixt and after putting me through a questionnaire and holding me on the line for 15 minutes they told me they can’t reach (their own!) agency, and that I have to park and walk in. I eventually found paid parking on the street within 300m. I then walked to the agency expecting to see them exceptionally busy. But no, they were not even very busy. There was one other customer who seemed to be having a casual chat with them. The agent took the keys from me and told me “it’s fine” with no further info. I insisted on confirmation of having returned the car, and he told me I’d receive an email in 2 minutes. I waited and no email came. When I insisted on confirmation one of them walked with me the 300m to the car in the street and inspected it. The whole process took much longer than expected and I missed my train as a result, despite having planned with a margin of 30 minutes.
