Porter Airlines Check-in
Porter recommends that travellers - for domestic flights - check-in 30 minutes before the flight is scheduled to depart at Toronto City Centre Airport and 60 minutes before take-off at other airports. Check-in desks close 20 minutes before departure at TCCA and 30 minutes at other airports. For international flights, the airline recommends that flyers check-in 60 minutes before departure at TCCA and 90 minutes at other airports. Check-in desks close 45 minutes before departure at TCCA and 60 minutes at other airports. Web check-in is available for all flights.
Porter Airlines baggage allowance
Hand luggage: One piece of hand luggage not exceeding 55cm x 40cm x 23cm and weighing less than 9kg is permitted. Flyers may also take a personal item, measuring up to 43cm x 33cm x 16cm and weighing less than 9kg.
Checked: One piece weighing no more than 23kg can be checked free of charge. There is a charge of $20 for checking a second piece, though the combined weight of both pieces must still be no more than 23kg.
Excess: If a piece of luggage exceeds 23kg, the excess baggage charge is $5 per kg. There's a fee of $25 for an additional bag.

Pre-arranged seating
Seat selection is available during the online booking process or via the call centre. In Freedom Class and Flexible Class advance seat selection is complimentary. In Firm Class, advanced seat selection is available for $15 per flight plus taxes.
Passenger change details
Travellers who have purchased Freedom Fares have, as part of their fare, complimentary changes or cancellations (subject to availability, fare difference and taxes) up to one hour before the scheduled departure of the flight. Same-day changes are permitted at the airport, subject to availability.
For travellers with Flexible Fares, changes or cancellations are permitted up to one hour before the flight is scheduled to take-off. The fee is $50 per passenger per flight plus any difference in fares and taxes. Same-day changes are permitted at the airport, for a fee of $75 plus taxes, subject to availability.
Firm Fare: changes or cancellations are permitted (subject to seat availability, fare difference and taxes) up to one hour before departure. The fee is $75 per passenger per flight plus fare difference and taxes. To make a change at the airport costs $150 plus taxes.
Cancelled flights are credited, in all fare classes, for future flights with Porter (valid for 12 months).
Child fares
Infants under two years old travel free of charge on an adult's lap. There are no discounts for children.

Your small cat or dog can travel with you in the cabin provided they fit in a carrier that you can stow under your seat. The cost is $50 one-way. Service dogs travel in the cabin free of charge.
