Delta Air Lines flights and information

Airline Overview

Delta Air Lines' history goes back to 1924 and the first aerial crop-dusting company. It is the largest airline in the world and flies to almost 400 destinations in 66 countries. Almost two million passengers take to the skies with Delta each year. In 2008, Delta bought Northwest Airlines and the merger process was completed in January 2010. In May 2009, Delta and the Air France-KLM Group announced that they will be coordinating their transatlantic services. Delta and Air France/KLM will cooperate on routes between North America and Africa, the Middle East, India, Europe and most countries in Latin America.

In Fall 2009, Delta was one of several major carriers that imposed a surcharge of up to $50 (US) for flying on busy travel days such as those around Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine's Day or Easter.
