If you haven’t been to New Hampshire lately, it might be time for a visit. There are a few new things to discover and we’re sharing some of the best.

Story Land

To celebrate its 60th anniversary, Story Land in Glen has unveiled a new dinosaur-themed area in the park, featuring Northern New England’s only wooden roller coaster – the aptly named Roar-O-Saurus. The new must-see attraction is 379 metres long and 12 metres high for a fun, yet thrilling ride.

The Arbor Inn

The Arbor Inn is a new property in Rye. The charming B&B is just a quick walk from the beach, and offers great common space for guests both inside and out. Well-appointed rooms and suites are uniquely decorated, and rates include a full three course gourmet breakfast. Local activities include hiking, biking, fishing, swimming, surfing and golf.

Lost River Gorge & Boulder Caves

Lost River Gorge & Boulder Caves in North Woodstock has undergone a major expansion. A new forest trail that encompasses 229 metres of winding boardwalk takes visitors through dense forest and eye-catching natural scenery. There’s also a new 18 metre long suspension bridge complete with overlooks for prime photo-taking opportunities.

Fort Jefferson Fun Park

What use to be Six Gun City in Jefferson has transformed into Fort Jefferson Fun Park.  The name isn’t the only thing that changed. The park has a new admission-free policy meaning you only pay for the rides, games and food you want, but access to the park itself is free, including live shows.

Extreme Mount Washington Museum

Mt. Washington is now home to an exciting new interactive museum. Extreme Mount Washing Museum is part of the Mount Washington Observatory, and focuses on the ultra-extreme weather the summit of Mount Washington gets in the winter. The summit gets some of the worst winter weather in the world, and now you can see what goes on during the harsh storms and hurricane-force winds – without having to be there. These interactive exhibits allow you to see what this frozen zone is like.

The Fells Historic Estate and Gardens

There’s a new outdoor sculpture exhibit at The Fells Historic Estate and Gardens in Newbury. Now visitors can enjoy the art of more than thirty well-known New England sculptors as they explore the gardens and grounds of The Fells. The exhibit, titled “Art in Nature 2014”, runs until October 13.

Bonus: If you’re a beer fan and you’re visiting New Hampshire, you can now download a handy brewery map showcasing a wide range of award-winning breweries, micro-breweries and brew-pubs throughout the state. Get it here.
