If you’ve never thought of adding Copenhagen to your travel bucket list, it’s time to give Denmark’s alluring capital a chance. The clean, efficient city is easy to get around by foot or by using public transportation and it offers visitors everything from shopping and museums to great restaurants, architecture and green space.

Some highlights include wandering along Stroget, one of Europe’s longest pedestrian streets, visiting the lively Tivoli Garden, one of the world’s oldest amusement parks, paying a visit to the Little Mermaid, Copenhagen’s most famous tourist attraction (who happened to turn 100 last year), and simply exploring the city by bike.

Take a peek at what makes Copenhagen such a must-visit destination.
