Alberta’s Lake Louise is nothing short of breathtaking and is one of the best places in Canada to get active outdoors, enjoy nature and really appreciate the beauty of Canada’s vast wilderness.

Located in Banff National Park, the Lake Louise area is where visitors come to ski and skate in the winter, and hike and canoe, among other activities, in the summer. The lake itself is about 2.5 kilometres long, 90 metres deep and a shade of blue that can only be described as mesmerizing.

No matter what you do in the Lake Louise area, you will be doing it surrounded by unforgettable scenery – hikers, mountain bikers and paddlers will have mountain peaks to gaze at in addition to the sparkling lake. Since you’re probably going to want to stay a while, there are many spots to stay in the area, from hostels to guesthouses to hotels of varying sizes and price points.
