Denver, Colorado, otherwise known is the “Mile High City” gets more than 300 days of sunshine a year. Any snow they do get doesn’t stick around for too long, meaning golf courses and patios are open all year round. If that’s not enough reason to pack a bag and visit, Denver is full of interesting things to see and do.

Enjoy some of that nearly year-round sunshine in Washington Park, 165 acres of jogging paths, two lakes, tennis courts, a pool, gardens and more. Give yourself at least a day or two to discover the Rocky Mountains with a drive along the Mount Evans Scenic Byway to Mount Evans. Along the way you’ll pass stunning scenery and travel through three different ecosystems on the way to the summit of Mount Evans.

Wander the historic neighbourhood of Larimer Square, do some shopping at 16th Street Mall, explore the Denver Botanic Gardens which boasts 15,000 species of plants, take a brewery tour, explore the downtown area or check out one of many museums and galleries the city has to offer.

Here are some of our favourite photos of Denver that show off a few of the great things you can see and do in and around the Colorado city.
