Very upset that it is not stated in writing that they will not take a debit card unless they keep a $500 deposit and do a soft credit check. They only take a major credit card. That is a lot of money customers have to prepare for.

Kayak rented me a car at this herts location, AFTER THEY WERE CLOSED. I got there to pick up my vehicle, and all of the lights were off, no one there. Had to cancel the reservation, BUT no one was available on any phone lines to call, and they wouldn't let me cancel online. Overall it was a very terrible experience.

When I arrived I was told that my vehicle was not ready, and I would be delayed about 2 hours. This was obviously not what I wanted to happen. I attempted to call Budget corporate. They told me I would go to a nearby airport ($80 for an Uber there) and they would have a car available, but it would be larger, and cost me an additional $300. This was not acceptable either. As I was being transferred around (about 45 min after I was supposed to have my vehicle) the person staffing the location let me know he was able to authorize a larger vehicle so I could get on my way. He was extremely helpful, but I will never rent from budget/Avis again.

The Carr rental place decided to close early on Friday so I wasn't able to get my car rental. Had to end up calling Enterprise who sent me to another location that had NO CARS. I ended up having to drive to an airport location and ended up paying more.

The staff weren’t helpful at all. The location my reservation was booked was closed due to covid. There wasn’t anybody I could reach by phone. There was a sign on the door saying to go to another location. By the time I arrived, and waiting in line, they said they booked me as a no show. Again, no phone answers, poor customer service, when I asked for help with other locations that can get my rental, they told me to google it.

Every single aspect of that experience could have been better.
