Alberta’s Jasper National Park was established in 1907 and is the largest national park in the Canadian Rockies and also one of the largest in Canada. Here you’ll find more than 10,000 square kilometers of mountain wilderness to discover and enjoy.

This park is a prime spot for wildlife viewing as it is home to a robust population of grizzly bears, wolves, caribou, moose and more. If you like to hike, Jasper is internationally known for its hiking, and also boasts the world famous Columbia Icefields, one of the only icefields in the world accessible by road.

Jasper National Park has nearly 1,000 kilometers of hiking trails, which provide a lot of opportunities for backpacking trips. It also offers many campsites, an extensive bike trail system, great spots for canoeing or kayaking and even relaxing hot springs to take a dip in.

Winter activities in the park include snowshoeing, winter hiking, skiing, skating and ice fishing.

If you need more incentive to book your getaway to Jasper National Park this year, here are some photos to show off more of what this vast park has to offer visitors.
