Online check-in is available up to 48 hours before scheduled departure. At the airport, check-in desks close 90 minutes before departure for passengers travelling without bags and 150 minutes before departure for passengers travelling with bags.
Carry-on: One piece is permitted per passenger, weighing up to 7kg and measuring no more than 115 linear cm. One personal item is also allowed.
Checked: Passengers have a baggage allowance of 20kg in economy class.
Excess: Costs for excess baggage vary depending on route.

Seats are allocated at time of booking. For "preferred seats" (those with extra legroom in the emergency exit rows), there is a charge of $50. Preferred seats are available on most aircraft, except Boeing 777-200 ER.

To arrange for pet travel out of Canada, Singapore Airlines recommends you contact an international pet transportation company. Pets fly as checked baggage only. Only service dogs are allowed to fly in the cabin.
Oversized instruments can only be carried on board if you are seated in the Economy class cabin and have purchased an extra seat to accommodate it.
Complimentary meals and drinks are offered. Many special meals are available, including vegetarian, kosher and diabetic. Orders must be placed at least 24 hours prior to departure at the reservations centre, or online at time of booking. There is a full in-flight entertainment system, which includes movies, television, music and games. Personal in-seat telephones are also available.
The loyalty program is called KrisFlyer. Air miles can be earned when flying with Singapore and more than 90 other partners.
