Frontier Airlines Check-in

Online check-in is available for flights departing a US airport from 24 hours to 60 minutes before departure. Frontier recommends that travellers arrive at the airport at least two hours before the flight is scheduled to take off. Baggage must be checked-in 30 minutes before departure for flights within the US (at some airports it's 45 minutes) and one hour for international flights. Passengers can also check-in at a self-service kiosk (available at some airports) or at the ticket counter.

Frontier Airlines baggage allowance

Carry-on: Frontier permits one carry-on bag per passenger and one personal item, such as a briefcase, purse, or laptop computer. Carry-on bags may not exceed linear dimensions of 125cm (length + width + depth) or weigh more than 16kg.

Checked: The baggage allowance varies by travel class. On domestic flights, Classic Plus and Classic flyers may check-in two pieces of luggage free and pay $50 for a third or subsequent pieces of luggage. Economy flyers are charged $20 to check the first bag, $30 for the second and $50 for third and subsequent pieces. On international routes, the first two pieces of checked luggage go free, but the third and fourth bags are charged at $50 each, a fifth and subsequent bag costs $100.

Excess: A piece of luggage should not exceed 157cm or weigh more than 22kg. There is a $75 charge for bags that exceed the weight limitation and a $75 fee for exceeding the size limitation.
