I would never fly qatar again . followings are the reason. 1: they sell all seats trying to make more money even the seat is not confortable. 2 laser thin seats no cusion on economy seats for 13 hrs long journey. 3 seat sizes are small to fit american body and not enough room to scratch legs. Specially middle seats 4 doha airport sucks. Mile long walk to change plane trying to force customers to pass by their duty free stores. 5 not enought passenger waiting seats by gate c 81 c82..... 6 no gate for planes going to ahmedabad and other other indian cities. Buses with only 6 seats tranfering paasenger to plane parked on tarmac. 7 once get off the bus passengers are stepping up all steps to reach planes entrance door. Problem for passengers have a knee problem n slighly poor health condition. 8 cost of priority seat reservation too high compared to air india. 9 they advertise their religion on entertainment platform. 10 map navigation software shows on Arabic language about 3/4 of time and 1/ 4 of selected language after languages selection of software. Once languages sected display shoud show on selected lunguage not the arabic lunguage 75 % of time. 11. Some seats are blocked for selection all the time and never open for customer option. Eg. 44a 44b And all a b c seats from raw 45 to 48. I can go on and on.... I am going back to chicago i am still worried my seats from ahmdavad to chicago. I am worried i dont fit comfortabley on laser thin tight seating arrangments. God bless me.

Where are the most popular flight destinations in Mozambique?

The most popular flight destinations in Mozambique are Maputo, Beira, Nampula, Pemba and Vilanculos.

Mozambique is a wonderful, under-discovered tourist destination. Discovered by Vasco da Gama in 1498, it was a Portuguese colony for almost 500 years, becoming independent in 1975. Now, with civil strife a thing of the past, more and more travellers are seeking cheap flights to Mozambique to take in all of its bounty.

With 2,500km of coastline on the Indian Ocean, the turquoise waters are just heaven for diving, snorkelling, fishing and sailing.

Bustling Maputo, the capital, has a Mediterranean/African vibe with colonial-era buildings, botanical gardens, and an art museum. The colonial era capital was Ilha de Mozambique, a tiny island and Unesco World Heritage site. Reached by bridge from the mainland, it has a mix of Portuguese and Muslim architecture, and fort that dates back to 1522.

For barefoot luxury, head to the Quirimbas archipelago in Northern Mozambique. A string of 32 coral islands teeming with marine life, the southernmost 11 are included in the Quirimbas National Park. Quirimba Island with its sugar-soft and palm-fringed beaches is the place to go for a secluded and exclusive holiday.

To the south, the Bazaruto Archipelago is a protected national park; five islands with no tourist infrastructure, just as nature intended.

Mozambique climate

During the rainy season, which lasts from October to March, coastal Mozambique is warmer and less humid than the inland areas. The more popular, and more expensive, time to visit Mozambique is in the dry April to September months, when temperatures average 31 C.

Getting around Mozambique

LAM – Linhas aéreas de Moçambique and Air Corridor fly domestically. There are several private minibus companies offering good connections throughout the central and southern regions of Mozambique.

What is good to know if travelling to Mozambique?

  • Maputo (once known as Lourenco Marques after the Portuguese trader who explored the area in the 1500s) is the capital. Some of the tourist must-sees include Jardim Tunduru, the botanical gardens, designed in 1885 by Thomas Honney, a renowned English gardener, has both indigenous and exotic plants, and the Railway Station, a gorgeous domed and pillared building designed by Gustave Eiffel, of Eiffel Tower fame. The National Art Museum houses a fine collection of Mozambican art. There is also an artists’ workshop there which can be visited. The Museum of the Revolution chronicles the country’s colonial past and its fight for independence.
  • Some of the best beaches at this end of Mozambique are Macaneta, Ponta do Ouro (renowned for scuba diving), Ponta Malongane, and 40km (25 miles) out to sea, Inhaca Island. Tofo and nearby are very popular surfing spots.
  • Maputo Reserve, a major elephant sanctuary, is part of a programme that includes the parts of Mozambique, Swaziland and South Africa covered by the Libombos mountain range.
  • Bazaruto, Benguerra, Magaruque and Santa Carolina islands are part of the Bazaruto Archipelago, just 30km (18 miles) off the coast, a national park with beautiful beaches and good diving, surfing, rock and fly-fishing.
  • Ibo, was, before Pemba, the provincial capital (until the 1950s in fact). The Fort of St John the Baptist is where the Portuguese detained political prisoners, but it is now a happier place, where local craftsmen produce jewellery.
  • The Quirimbas Archipelago in northern Mozambique is a string of 32 coral islands. Quirimbas National Park was established in 2002 with the involvement of the World Wildlife Fund. The 7,500 sq km park (between the mainland, ocean, inter-tidal and islands) is one of the most biodiverse regions in the world with sea turtles, dugongs, humpback whales and dolphins as well as lions, leopards, elephant, buffalo and several types of antelope.
  • When is the best time to fly to Mozambique?

Peak Season:May to October is the dry season. The weather is cooler and drier with temperatures in the mid-20s. Our summer – June, July and August – are Mozambique’s coolest months. This is the most popular time for travellers to seek Mozambique flights to go on safari as the animals gather around the water holes then. Off Season:The rainy season lasts from November to April. The weather during this time is hot (temperatures in the mid-30s) and it is humid.

From Vilankulu, the Bazaruto Archipelago is just a short boat trip or small-plane flight away. To get to Gorongosa National Park from Maputo, travellers can take a flight on Ethiopian Airlines or LAM, which will take roughly around 1h 20min. These flights will land in Chimoio, so you’ll need a four-wheel-drive vehicle to complete the journey. If you’re hoping to travel between Gorongosa National Park and the Bazaruto Archipelago, you’ll need a domestic flight that stops in Maputo along the way.

  • What are some things to do in Mozambique?

The natural ecosystem in Mozambique is the primary attraction for travellers seeking to explore the country. If you’ve secured a Mozambique flight deal, then you’ll likely do so in the hopes that you can visit Gorongosa National Park. Located in the Great Rift Valley, this preservation area is home to many of Africa’s Big Five safari animals, including elephants and lions. Lake Urema, which sits at the heart of the preserve, is a bird-lover’s paradise; here, you can spot exotic species such as the African openbill, the white-breasted cormorant, and the African darter. If you’re travelling to Mozambique in search of an aquatic adventure, you’ll want to head to the Bazaruto Archipelago. This group of six islands is located on the southern part of Mozambique’s coastline and boasts pristine beaches and exciting scuba opportunities. Marine life includes leopard sharks, manatees, sea turtles, and sunfish.
