Child-friendly diversions at border airports in the US
Buffalo, Burlington, Seattle and Detroit
Buffalo Niagara International Airport
There is a Fisher Price Play Gate near Southwest Airline’s desks (Gates 20 and 22). When hunger bites, there is a fun "custom sandwich" shop called WhichWich, where kids can make their own sandwich. The Elviswich – Peanut butter, honey and banana – is a sweet, pick-me-up.
Burlington International Airport
The mezzanine at Burlington Airport is fitted out with comfortable couches, coffee tables, and easy chairs. For quiet time, Mom and toddler can settle into one of the white rocking chairs in the Skyway, from which there are sweeping views of the runways and aircraft.
Detroit Metro Airport
There are seven play areas located in the McNamara Terminal, located along the boarding concourses. You’ll find four play areas in Concourse A, two in Concourse B, and one in Concourse C.
Seattle–Tacoma International Airport
The Children's Play Area is close to the Central Terminal, behind security. Soft-foam equipment is perfect for climbing over and crawling around. The theme is aviation – an airplane, control tower and baggage cart. There are lots of kiddie-friendly restaurants too, such as Wendy's and Burger King. Large, private family restrooms are located on the ticketing and baggage claim levels of the Main Terminal and on Concourses A, B, C and D and in the North and South Satellites.
