Southwest Airlines Check-in
Passengers have the ability to check in online, at the airport check-in desks, at self-service kiosks, at the departure gate, or on the Southwest Airlines mobile app.
Check-in times are different for each airport, but Southwest Airlines suggests getting there between an hour and an hour and a half before you are supposed to depart.
If you are interested in an online check-in, it opens 24 hours before flight departure and closes one hour before the flight is slated to leave. “Early-bird check-in” is also available for a fee.

That said, it is beneficial to check in early and receive a better boarding time. The “early bird check-in” option allows for better seat selection.
