There’s a reason many people return to Killarney Provincial Park year after year. The scenery is some of the most beautiful in Ontario, if not all of Canada, and for the most part, when you camp there, you feel as if you have the park all to yourself.

1,670 square kilometres of wilderness are yours to discover, including more than 50 crystal clear lakes just waiting to be jumped into or paddled across. Visitors can car camp (i.e. park on site rather than canoe or hike to your campsite) on George Lake for a more comfortable, family-friendly experience, or you can go the more adventurous route and choose a back-country site. Breathtaking back-country campsites that can only be accessed via canoe, offer an amazing way to get closer to nature and escape from hectic city life. Yurt accommodations is available year round if you don’t feel like sleeping in a tent. Each one sleeps six people and comes equipped with lighting, electric heat and a power outlet.

Hiking trails range from two to 80 kilometres in length, and there are numerous canoe routes that take from a couple of hours to a couple of days. Swimming, fishing, biking and bird watching are also on offer at the various points in the park.

Take a look at some photos of Killarney to just how beautiful it really is.
