JetBlue Airways Check-in
Online check-in is available between 24 hours and 90 minutes before the flight is scheduled to take off. At airports, check-in times vary. For international flights customers should be checked-in at least 60 minutes prior to departure and must be in the gate area at least 20 minutes prior to departure. Express Curbside Check-In is available at some airports. JetBlue Remote Check-In is available (at hotels, convention centers, on-airport and off-airport parking areas, rental car areas, and onboard cruise ships) in some cities such as Boston, Fort Lauderdale, San Francisco and Orlando.
JetBlue Airways baggage allowance
Hand luggage: One bag that will stow easily in the overhead bin plus a personal item such as a purse, briefcase or laptop that will fit under the seat in front.
Checked: On JetBlue the first checked bag is free (as long as the weight does not exceed 23kg and measures no more than 157cm). There’s a fee of $50 for checking a second bag and $100 for a third bag.
Excess: Overweight and oversized bags will be charged a fee of $100 per bag. Bags heavier than 45kg and larger than 203 cm are not accepted.

Seat Pitch: 81-84cm.

Passenger change details
For changes or cancellations to existing bookings, customers can use the Manage Your Flights page. If you have purchased a non-refundable fare, changes and cancellations carry a $75-150 fee per person plus any difference in fares. Changes or cancellations to Refundable Fares are permitted, subject to availability and any difference in fare. If you need to make a Same Day Flight Change the fee is $40 per person.
Lap infants fly free domestically. On international flights, infants require a ticket.
JetBlue does not offer senior fares.
Passengers can bring their pet cat or dog in the cabin with them. Along with the $100 fee each way, a pet counts as the one personal carry-on item.
Carrying musical instruments
Musical instruments can be carried as hand luggage or as checked luggage if the instrument is small enough. If the musical instrument is large, you may have to purchase a seat for it.
Snacks and drinks are complimentary. Snacks include Doritos, chips and cookies, drinks include Coke, Sprite and fruit juices. JetBlue serves Dunkin’ Donuts coffee. Cocktails cost $6 each. JetBlue offers 36 channels of live TV at every seat, 100 channels of XM Satellite Radio, first-run movies and specialty programming from Plus TV including New York Times content and the Broadway Channel. JetBlue also offers free email and instant messaging on its BetaBlue aircraft. Finally, customers at JFK Airport in New York and Long Beach Airport in California can access wireless Internet free.
TrueBlue is JetBlue’s frequent flyer plan. Members receive advance notice of fare sales and faster and easier booking as well as free flights. The number of points depends on the length of the JetBlue flight – two points for a short flight (JFK-Buffalo for example), four points for a medium-length flight (Rochester to Fort Lauderdale for example), and six points for a long flight (JFK to Oakland, for instance).
