Ready to feel pampered? In honour of National Relaxation Day (Friday, August 15), we’re rounding up some of the best spas in Canada.

Willow Stream Spa at Fairmont Pacific Rim

Willow Stream Spa at Fairmont Pacific-Rim in Vancouver is where you want to be if you need some R&R. Located on the fifth floor of the hotel, a visit to this spa offers a respite from the city. An outdoor Jacuzzi, infrared sauna, steam room, yoga studio and meditation pods are just some of their impressive facilities. Spa services range from facials and massages, to body scrubs and manicures, all performed in a tranquil setting.

Ste. Anne’s Spa

This all-inclusive Ontario resort spa has been listed as one of the top 100 spas in the world and it is consistently ranked among the best in Canada. Located in Grafton, Ontario, the spa is set on 400 private acres. Facilities include a eucalyptus sauna, the Fieldstone Grotto where you’ll find a hot tub, cold plunge pool and lap pool, a gym, an outdoor pool, walking trails and tennis courts. In addition to a wide array of relaxing spa treatments, there are wellness classes that include yoga and meditation.

Spa Balnea

Two Jacuzzis overlooking nearby Lake Gale, natural springs, three saunas with panoramic views, Turkish bath, a waterfall – all of that (and more) is at your disposal with a trip to Spa Balnea in Bromont, Quebec. There are massages, Ayurvedic treatments, scrubs, wraps and facials to choose from among other treatments, as well as yoga, group hikes and other activities.

Spa at the Four Seasons Toronto

If you find yourself in Toronto, and you’re in need of a break, head straight for the Spa at the Four Seasons, on the ninth floor of the hotel. 17 elegant treatment rooms, an ultra-relaxing lounge area, two steam rooms, whirlpool, and a large outdoor terrace overlooking the city are just a few of the perks you can enjoy in addition to your treatment. Body scrubs, body wraps, massages, facials, and hair and nail treatments can all be booked, as well as yoga classes.

One Wellness and Spa

Canmore, Alberta is where you will find One Wellness and Spa, a multifaceted facility committed to overall wellness – inside and out. Spa treatments include massages, facials, nail care, scrubs and wraps. The 880 square metre spa has a fitness centre, movement studio, Pilates reformer studio, eight treatment rooms, sauna, steam room and a relaxation room with a fireplace. If that’s not relaxing enough, we don’t know what is.

The Spa at Fox Harb’r

This ocean-side spa in Wallace, Nova Scotia is part of the Fox Harbour Golf Resort and Spa and is worth visiting just for the relaxation potential the spa offers. Retreat into their calming sanctuary to experience an array of memorable treatments, from anti-aging facials to stress-relieving deep tissue massages.
