In the mood to shop? There are plenty of places to part with your money all across Canada and we’re sharing some of the best.

West Edmonton Mall, Edmonton

West Edmonton Mall in Edmonton, was known as the world’s largest mall up until 2004 (the top spot now belongs to a mall in Dubai), however, West Edmonton Mall is still a prime spot for serious shoppers. There are 800 shops and services here, in addition to an amusement park, a water park and other fun ways to pass the time when you need a break from shopping.

Byward Market, Ottawa

In Ottawa you will find an eclectic mix of vendors selling everything from jewellery and ceramics, to T-shirts and art at ByWard Market. ByWard Market is a great place to find something unique to bring home. There are also food stalls as well as a farmer’s market in the summer (one of Canada’s oldest and largest).

Yorkdale Shopping Centre, Toronto

Yorkdale Shopping Centre in Toronto has always been a draw for shopaholics, but over the years it has continued to expand and add more and more big name stores you may not find anywhere else in the city, or even Canada. The mall is planning yet another expansion that will add an additional 300,000 square feet of shopping space for the fall 2016.

The Forks, Winnipeg

Located in downtown Winnipeg where the Assiniboine and Red rivers meet, the Forks is one of the best places to shop in the city and the number one tourist attraction in Winnipeg. There are nearly 75 shops and boutiques on site as well as cafes, restaurants and other attractions like parks, promenades and playgrounds.

Gastown, Vancouver

No trip to Vancouver would be complete without a visit to Gastown, especially if you like to shop. The area is known for both interior design shops and the many local, independent fashion boutiques you can find here. There are also antiques, home accessories and art. Depending on what you’re in the mood to shop for, you can find it in Gastown.

Bloor-Yorkville, Toronto

One of the most famous shopping areas in Toronto, and probably one of the most upscale areas to spend your money, is Bloor-Yorkville. The area itself is quaint and quiet, filled with stylish stores and many places to grab a nice meal or coffee while you shop. Here you’ll see stores like Prada, Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Chanel, just to name a few of the luxe shopping stops.

Old Quebec City, Quebec

Known as a slice of Europe right in Canada, Old Quebec City in Quebec, is a mesmerizing place to visit, as well as a haven for shoppers. It is one of North America’s oldest cities and is a World Heritage site. Chic and stylish fashions can be found here, in addition to art, crafts and jewellery.

Inglewood, Calgary

Established in 1875, Inglewood is Calgary’s oldest neighbourhood. Today, the area is a great place to shop and attracts both locals and visitors to the city. Browse more than 100 shops, boutiques and restaurants in the well-known and vibrant district.
