If you’re in charge of planning a bachelor party, where you host it can make all the difference. Makes sure the party is a good one by checking out one of these six action-packed bachelor party destinations.

Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada

Take the groom to Niagara Falls for a fun-filled pre-wedding celebration that can encompass everything from golf to gambling to indoor skydiving. If it’s golf you’re after there are six courses to choose from. Guys who like to gamble can spend some time at Fallsview Casino, Canada’s largest casino. Any thrill seekers should check out Niagara Freefall Indoor Skydiving or take part in a Whirlpool Jet Boat tour through the Niagara River rapids.

Montreal, Quebec, Canada

In addition to being known as a party spot and for its clubs, there are also plenty of other reasons to host a bachelor party in Montreal. First of all, there’s the food – poutine, bagels and smoked meat sandwiches just to name a few specialties. In between all the eating and partying, take the groom on a jet boat ride on the St. Lawrence River that goes through some wild rapids, take in the views from the top of Mont-Royal or pay a visit to Old Montreal.

New Orleans, Louisiana, USA

Great food, great bars and great music make New Orleans a no-brainer when it comes to planning a bachelor party. At night you can take the groom to see some jazz and then go bar-hopping (there are places in New Orleans that will give your drink “to go” so you never have to worry about being empty handed between bars). During the day, check out the French Quarter, eat a po-boy sandwich, rent a scooter and sight-see on two wheels, or get some fresh air in 1,300 acre City Park, one of the oldest urban parks in the U.S.

Whistler, British Columbia, Canada

Whistler is an all-seasons bachelor party destination that’s perfect for outdoor-loving grooms. In the winter you can ski, snowboard and snowmobile, while in the summer there’s hiking, fishing, camping, white water rafting, and mountain biking on offer. Lively nightlife can also be found in Whistler making it easy to plan and execute a fun night out.

Costa Rica

If you want to take the groom a little bit off the beaten track and want a beach vibe without the hustle and bustle of Cancun or Cabo San Lucas, consider a pre-wedding trip to Costa Rica. There are beaches, the opportunity to surf (or learn to surf) and plenty of Eco-adventure activities on offer like volcano hikes and zip lining through the rain forest.

Paradise Island, Bahamas

Another warm destination to consider, especially for a winter bachelor party, is Paradise Island in the Bahamas, for the white sand, mellow weather and turquoise water. Stay at the sprawling Atlantis Hotel, which boasts three white sand beaches, 141 acre waterpark, 11 pools, marine exhibits, nightlife and a golf course (among other amenities). If you really want to splurge, stay at the Cove, the property’s adults-only hotel within the hotel with its very own 836 square metre“ultra pool”, day beds, outdoor casino and private beach area.
