Why you should take a flight to Washington D.C.>
There’s nothing like a trip to the nation’s capital to stir your patriotism. There are plenty of cheap flights to Washington D.C. from most airports. It’s easy to get around the city via taxi, subway or on foot. Once you’re there, you can roam around to your heart’s content. Most national Washington attractions are free of charge. Choose from the Smithsonian Museum, the National Gallery, the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial, the Vietnam War Memorial and the World War II Memorial. The Reflecting Pool between the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial is gorgeous. The Museum of Aviation is awesome for families with young children. If you catch one of the cheap flights to Washington D.C. at the right time of the year, you can have a picnic and enjoy the Cherry Blossom Festival. Don’t forget to visit the White House. It’s really an inspiring sight. Tours of the Capitol Building are inexpensive and run all day long. You might see some members of Congress while you’re there.

You will discover some great seafood restaurants, steak houses, sushi bars, Italian restaurants and nearly any cuisine you crave. Some of the world’s best chefs have restaurants in the D.C. area. If you like sports, the Washington Nationals baseball team and the Washington Redskins football team are the two prominent professional franchises in the city. There are numerous discos and nightclubs in the Georgetown area. There are also intimate comedy clubs featuring some terrific political comedians.
