The town in southwest Florida is known as the City of Palms. Subtropical. Travellers booking cheap flights to Fort Myers can expect practically perfect weather year-round. Temperatures climb to a high of 28 degrees Celsius (83 degrees Fahrenheit) in August. The lowest temperatures occur in January - 17 degrees (63F).

Several hotels provide complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport, from the Best Western Inn, Airport to the Wynstar Inn and Suites.
LeeTran operates public bus to a transfer point at Daniels Parkway and U.S. 41. Connections can be made from there to other LeeTran routes. Services run between 7am and 9pm.
