Online check-in is available beginning 24 hours before the flight’s departure and ending 30 minutes before, except for at Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam, where online check-in closes an hour before departure. You can check in using a mobile device if you’re on the go, or via traditional methods like self-check-in kiosks and the check-in desk. All economy class passengers are required to check in online or by using the self-check-in kiosks.
Hand luggage: Economy-Class flyers are allowed one piece of hand luggage with the maximum dimensions of 55cm x 40cm x 23cm plus a personal item. The maximum limit for economy European flights is 10kg (22lbs) to and from Heathrow and 7kg (15lbs) for all regional airports. For mid- and long-haul flights the limit is 6kg (13lbs).
Checked: Unlimited pieces of checked baggage are permitted but the maximum total weight is 20kg.
Excess: Excess luggage rates vary by route. No one bag may weigh more than 32kg.

Seats are assigned on a first come first served basis at check-in. You can also pre-book seats by calling the reservations number for an extra charge.
The date and time of the flight can be changed for £30 ($60) per person per change and per flight, as well as any upgrade fares. Names cannot be changed. However, tickets can be cancelled for a full refund minus a £25 ($50) administrative fee. The administration fee is waived if you cancel within 24 hours of making the booking by calling the cancellation centre. Changes can be made online or at the call centre number listed below.
Child fares are available on some international routes for children between the age of two and 11 at 67-75 percent of the adult fare. More information can be requested by calling the bmi service centre. Infants under the age of two can travel on an adult's lap for 10 percent of the adult fare.

Passengers can take dogs, cats or ferrets on UK domestic flights or from the UK on an international service. An extra charge will be assessed for pet transport, you just have to be sure to call the reservations line ahead of time. Pets must be transported in IATA-approved containers large enough for the pet to turn about while standing, to stand and sit erect, and to lie in a natural position. Pets are not permitted on bmi transatlantic flights.
Standard baggage allowances apply. A separate seat may be purchased to carry a large or fragile instrument instead of checking it in the aircraft’s baggage compartment.
On mid-haul flights, economy class passengers can enjoy a complimentary meal with a choice of hot entree and bar service. On short-haul flights, there are a number of snacks and drinks you can purchase on-board. You can request a special meal no later than 24 hours before the scheduled departure of your flight. On board, you have access to a wide range of music, movies, games and TV shows.
