TAP Air Portugal Check-in

Check-in desks close three hours before departure for international flights and two hours before departure for flights to and from Europe.

Online check-in is available on certain routes.

TAP Air Portugal baggage allowance

Hand luggage: One piece is permitted per passenger. It should weigh no more than 6kg.

Checked: One piece is allowed per passenger on flights to and from the US and Canada. It should weigh no more than 23kg.

Excess: Charges vary according to destination, but start at €5 per kg.

Child fares

Infants under two years old travel at 10 percent of the adult fare if travelling on an adult's lap. There are discounted fares available for children between the ages of two and 11, though costs vary by route.

Senior fares

Check with the airline before booking, as senior fares are available on certain routes.

Pets

Only cats and dogs can travel in the cabin. They must be transported in a container and the combined weight of the animal and the container should not exceed 7kg. Your pet can also travel as checked baggage and will not count as part of your baggage allowance.

In-flight service

Complimentary drinks, snacks and meals are available on all flights. Special meal requests should be made at the time of reservation. There is a full entertainment programme on medium and long-haul flights.
