Check-in desks open four hours before the scheduled departure of the flight. Desks close one hour before the flight is due to take off. There are special "No Wait" counters at Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad airports for passengers with hand luggage only. The City Check-in Facility enables flyers to receive their boarding pass 72 hours before the flight and go straight to the boarding gate 30 minutes before departure. Return check-in is available for travellers who fly between the two destinations within a 12-hour time period from Karachi, Islamabad and Lahore. At Karachi, there is Kerbside Check-in for Economy-Plus passengers - with just hand luggage - on domestic flights.
Carry on: One piece per passenger, weighing up to 7kg.
Checked: The free baggage allowance is two pieces up to 28kg each for Business and Economy-Class flyers (for Canada and US flyers).
PIA Awards Plus is the name of the frequent-flyer program.
The airline's in-flight magazine is called Humsafar (Urdu for "travelling companion"). The magazine is available on all flights in the seat back.
