When I was going to board, one of the staff members told me that I could not board with my passport bag because it was tree items and I would need to check a bag. This was so stupid ! The bag was small. So I had to put my things in my pockets, put the funny bag inside the other bag. Then go throw it. Then in the plane put everything back again in my funny bag.

Biloxi is often included, with its larger neighbour Gulfport, as Gulfport-Biloxi. The town is located on a small peninsula between Biloxi Bay and the Mississippi Sound with several barrier islands basking in the Gulf of Mexico.

Biloxi’s recent history can be divided into pre-Hurricane Katrina and post-Hurricane Katrina. Prior to 2005, the area was America’s third-largest casino market, after Las Vegas and Atlantic City. State law had required that casinos be located offshore, so when Katrina hit, she wiped away many of them as well as several historic buildings and antebellum homes. Now, casinos can be built on land (within 243 metres of the shore) and resort hotels, with gaming, entertainment and restaurants, have been rebuilt. Biloxi is again a must-visit destination.

It’s not all about the gaming however, as travellers taking cheap flights to Biloxi will discover. Biloxi offers some of the best golfing and sports fishing along the Gulf of Mexico. It’s also known for its fresh shrimp and oysters, ingredients that find their way into the delicious cuisine.
